Rush Clip "It's a Shitbox!"



This scene is about mid way through the 2013 Film "Rush", dialogue between racing driver Niki Lauda and an unnamed Italian Mechanic.

==Script==

Niki: "It's terrible! Drives like a Pig!"

Mechanic: "Oh, you can't say that"

Niki: "Why Not?"

Mechanic: "It's a Ferrari!"

Niki: "It's a Shitbox! It understeers like crazy and the weight distribution is a disaster, it's amazing all these facilities and you make a piece of crap like this"

-Pause

Niki: "Uh!"

The dialogue sets up the main character of Niki as a no nonsense, almost jerk like character, while using the mechanic to display what a formal and respected brandname Ferrari is.

Key things to animate are, the mannerisms of the mechanic, the facial motions of Niki and possibly the F1 Car.

The first scene I'm considering using is from the first scene of the first episode of Gilmore Girls. ==Script== Luke: "How many cups have you had this morning?" Lorelai: "None" Luke: "Plus?" Lorelai: "Five, but yours is better" Luke: "You have a problem" Lorelai: "Yes I do" Luke: "Junkie" Lorelai: "Angel, You've got Wings baby" This is the first dialogue of a series that lasted 7 seasons, it perfectly sets up to of the main characters. Lorelai; Coffee addict, quirky and bubbly, and Luke; Cynical but kind. The emotions that the two characters go through are worth noting, Lorelai goes from Desperate to Guilt to Joy, while Luke goes from Suspicious to Disgust to Acceptance. Things noteworthy to animate in this scene are the facial emotions on Lorelai (While Luke's face is quite static) the gesture of the coffee cup and the hat at the end.
